Rochester Indigenous Peoples’ Day honors Indigenous peoples, cultures, histories and present-day communities with a free, open-to-all celebration on the Rochester Museum & Science Center campus at 657 East Avenue. From 11 AM to 5 PM there is music and dance, cultural performances, craft demonstrations, educational activities, Indigenous artists and vendors, and community organizations, with a grand parade at noon. The day opens with a sunrise ceremony at 7 AM at the White Pine by the Cobbs Hill Reservoir and closes with a sunset ceremony at 6 PM on the museum’s front steps on East Avenue. Organized by the Indigenous Peoples’ Day Rochester, New York Committee.
